A delightful three-bedroom period cottage with gated driveway parking, enjoying an enviable position in the heart of Chartham, with views across the village green. The property is conveniently located close to the train station, where you can catch direct services into London, making it ideal for commuters who prefer to come home to the peace and tranquillity of village life. You have the Shop On The Green' a stone's throw away and the property is a short stroll from the Artichoke, a charming 15th century pub which has a lovely atmosphere and a roaring fire in the winter months.

This charming cottage dates back to the 19th century and is believed to have originally been built for those who worked at the village's historic paper mill. To the front of the row of cottages, there are open plan gardens extending to approximately 150 ft, which are bordered by an attractive brick wall, beyond which is the village green. Each cottage is responsible for their own portion and are all kept well-maintained.

Entry to the property will however more than likely be from the rear, where you have gated driveway parking and two sections of garden, one laid to lawn with a greenhouse on and the other a lovely, low-maintenance courtyard garden which has been fenced off and has a shed and a small summer house.

The cottage offers comfortable, well-presented accommodation over three floors. On the ground floor and to the front, you have a sitting room which has a beautiful outlook onto the gardens in front. This is a bright, sunny room to relax in which has an attractive red brick fireplace. The fireplace is currently gas, which has been capped off, but someone could explore the possibility of installing a log burning stove. A door from the sitting room leads into a spacious dining room which has a door to a staircase leading to upstairs and a storage cupboard underneath. To the rear is an attractive kitchen which has plenty of storage and there is space for a fridge/freezer and washing machine.

The first floor has a beautiful double bedroom to the front which has a pretty feature fireplace and wardrobe storage either side of the chimney recess. There is also a single bedroom on this floor as well as the bathroom which features a bath with a shower over. There is a further double bedroom on the top floor.

This lovely cottage is being offered to the market with no forward chain and viewings are strongly advised.
